What is Deburring?

Burrs are unwanted raised material remaining on a machined or cast part as a result of a manufacturing operation.

Burrs must be removed for assembly of components, and because burrs can cause field failures when they fall off.

Burrs can be removed manually. This is called hand deburring. It is costly, inconsistent and can cause scrap.

Burrs can  be removed economically by Vectron using Thermal Deburring or  Electro-Chemical Deburring (ECD).
